The LIRR has acknoledged and is any day now expecting a new arm rest prototype for the M7 trains put into service a few years ago. Since it's initial deployment the railroad has paid many claims for the arm rests catching and tearing gentlemen's slacks.... Mine included (I just wasn't smart enough to make a claim.)

I'm happy that they are finally taking care of this... but do you think they can roll out replacements before 2010?
