Good Monday morning to everyone.
Congratulations to the Saints on their Super Bowl win.

It's cold outside. Looks like we'll be back in the store again today
and tomorrow storing up all the food that we need.

FORECAST MODELS CONTINUE TO POINT TO A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM
IMPACTING THE AREA FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY WITH
THE POTENTIAL FOR 6 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOWFALL. LOW PRESSURE IS
FORECAST TO DEVELOP ALONG THE SOUTHEAST COAST EARLY TUESDAY
MORNING...THEN RAPIDLY DEEPEN AS IT TRACKS NORTHEAST TO JUST EAST
OF MONTAUK POINT BY WEDNESDAY EVENING.

IN ADDITION...HIGH WINDS COMBINED WITH HIGHER ASTRONOMICAL TIDES
ASSOCIATED WITH THE APPROACHING NEW MOON COULD RESULT IN COASTAL
FLOODING APPROACHING MODERATE BENCHMARKS WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY
NIGHT ACROSS PARTS OF WESTERN LONG ISLAND SOUND...AND IN THE
SOUTH SHORE BACK BAYS OF WESTERN LONG ISLAND.

So with that in mind, how was everyone's weekend? I rested yesterday from
my Saturday labor. Last night was just a bunch of appetizers, but enough to stuff
everyone by half time and they left me alone. We've always made boxes for the
super bowl since the kids were little. Started with a penny a box and now we're up
to .50 cents. Just something to have. We all have our laughs and it's a good day.
Roboboy was trying to explain "downs" to Donna yesterday and she wasn't understanding.
Sonnyboy tells him to stop because if she had a football helmet on with the ball stuck
in the faceguard, she's be asking "what's this for?". We all laughed pretty hard. Trying
to explain the boxes and how they work was better. She's blonde.

I shopped enough the other day that I won't have to trek off to the store in preparation
of this "big blizzard" we're supposed to get. I heard people discussing it in church yesterday
and mentioning how they would have to get to the store. I just don't understand
how much food you need to buy to be stuck in the house, for what, two days?

Have a great day everyone, drive safely and I sure do hope that everyone is on
the mend and feeling better.

Good Morning all,

Well it looks like we are in for some snow on Wednesday. I will wait for our resident weatherperson to tell us when and how much.

I am glad that the Saints won the Superbowl. I am sure this was a big boost for a city that so deserves something good.

Relaxed most of the day yesterday. Finished a scarf I was making for myself and started one for my Granddaughter.

Today I have decided I need to go to the office. I normally go on Wedensday, but with the weather report, I don't want to make that drive. I have
therapy on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and next week I will be away from Tuesday to Friday. We are getting close to the time when we have to
get that office emptied out and my boss won't do a thing if I am not there. I have to go in and tell him what to pack and what to throw away. I guess
this is the price I pay for working there for the last 30 years.

Well, going to get a few things done and then my daughter in Law will be here to take me to the office.

Be back later

Good morning everyone.

Congrats to all the Saints fans.
It was a good game to watch and NO could use the revenue I am sure it will make from the parades and such.

Sounds like you and the family had some fun watching the game Earthlee.
I do hope that this storm blows to sea like the other one. But it doesn't look like we are going to be that lucky this time.
No need to go to the store here I have all I need so I will stay out of the stores and away from the mad dash.

Outback I hope you are alright your post was rather long this morning. Please do not be upset but I was not able to take the time to read it all,

Bratty do you think our resident weatherperson will get this storm right???

So Comet all bets are on you, what are your predictions?

Enjoy the day everyone.

I agree with you Easylife on Outback's post. It was so long, I had to stop reading.
Hope I didn't miss anything important.

I have a feeling we are going to get hit with this storm. My DIL is taking me to the office today so I can
bring some stuff in that I have been working on and then we will also go through more things to either
pack/shred/throw away.

Have a great day

Easylife, Bratty, I can't believe you missed what I said in my post. Tonight, please set aside 3 hours with lots of coffee to keep you away so that you can concentrate on my post.

Hi Everyone,
I bet we get at least 14" of snow out of this storm
Just figured I would stop in and let you know to get your bread,
eggs and Milk  Im not liking what I feel about this storm
Its been a busy stressful couple days here

Earthlee I understand Donna and football, I dont understand it either.
But half time was awesome, I thought anyway. I understand the boxes
though as long as I know the score 8) I get lucky on those, last year I won
$600.00 on some sport I think maybe it was babseball.
Bratty I was happy for the Saints to 8) Its definately a good boost for NO
kinda reminded me of a movie I saw "Invictus" with Nelson Mandella and the Rugby
team and how it brought up the African morale.
How did your trip to the office go?
Easylife Im saying 14" of snow. Thats probably on the lower end of what we're
really gonna get  Im not thrilled either, sorry to put a little damper on things
It was nice chatting with you too. I looked for you again last night, I mustve missed ya.
it was another 2am night
Outback Get the sleigh ready I think your gonna need it
Mikeysmom How was your moms trip? Did she bring back any Irish Mist
Bunny I hope your day went better yesterday and you were able to enjoy yourself yesterday.
Navywife I hope Kurtis had an awesome Birthday 8) I have my sons Birthday tomorrow he'll be 17..
WCH, Pete, Fin and Blue Island I hope all of you guys are having a good day.

Everyone have a good night.

Good afternoon everyone!

I wound up sleeping in this morning as I was still recuperating from Saturday night  and we had last minute
company last night for the Super Bowl. Thank God it just was the guys so I fixed them some snacks and came
upstairs to watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet  When I finally got up this morning I turned on my cell
phone to a text from Mikey asking me to call his work to let them know he wouldn't be in tonight as he threw up
this morning when he woke up and he 'felt like crap' :( He made it thru the day at school as they are off tomorrow
and we don't know about Wednesday, so I was happy about that. He's been laying down since he got home.
I got to speak on the phone today to the brother of one of my best friends through HS. I basically lived at their
house so we knew each other pretty good and I haven't spoken with him since he got married and moved out of
the country with the Air Force over 25 years ago. Between Saturday night and today it's been amazing catching
up with all these people. I LOVE FaceBook :D

Earthlee it sounds as if you had a great day yesterday! Poor Donna, but that had to be really funny  I will be
running out tomorrow to grab a couple of things, but I'm good on milk, butter & eggs!

Bratty I hope you didn't over-do it at the office today. Do you notice Comet hasn't been here to make her predictions?
Maybe she's conferring with the weatherman

Outback I have to admit, I'm with the others. I started getting a headache reading that long post, so I will have to
break it up into a few sections. I'll try to get back later to continue

Comet we're waiting ..... what say you? let's talk inches again

Make it a great night everyone :D
