Are we pushing our kids to grow up to fast?

Postby PeteT » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:56 pm

A good friend of mine in LA bought his daughter a Taylor Swift doll...

Cool, new version of barbie... But wait - the doll has a freakin heart foot tattoo!!!!

Whats next? Underage drinking barbie? Tongue pierced barbie?

Unmarried Pregnant drug abuser barbie?

What have we come to and what is this saying to our kids about growing up?

Kids are definitely growing up too fast. But with modern technology I really don't
think it's something that we can stop. Cell phones, computers that give them
all the information they want, music lyrics, parents who don't care what they do
and have no control over them, put them all together and you have 12 yr olds
getting piercings, tattoos, purple hair and having sex. Personally, I liked it
better when I was their age. Life was simpler then.
